Wind techs

Every hour billed, every module current

Traveling techs get paid on paperwork. RigTicket keeps the hours, the overtime, the per diem and the mileage on one ticket the staffing company cannot argue with, and warns you before a GWO module runs out.

  • Straight time and overtime as separate lines
  • Per diem and mileage kept out of your hourly rate
  • Site and turbine on every ticket
  • GWO, OSHA, first aid and manufacturer certs in one wallet
  • Reminders at 60, 30 and 7 days before a module expires
  • Cert packet PDF to send a safety office in one go

A ticket per day, an invoice per period

Write the ticket at the end of the shift while the day is still clear: hours in, hours out, what came off the turbine, a photo if something needs documenting. At the end of the pay period, pick the tickets and RigTicket rolls them into one invoice grouped by line type.

If you are through a staffing company, the same ticket doubles as your backup when their numbers and yours disagree.

GWO modules expire on their own schedule

Basic Safety Training refreshes every two years, and the modules inside it do not always line up on the same date. Advanced Rescue, Enhanced First Aid and Blade Repair each run their own clock, and a lapsed module keeps you off the tower whatever else is current.

Add each one with its expiry and RigTicket does the counting. More on the GWO module set.

Mileage and per diem that survive an audit

Mileage is a rate line with a category of reimbursement, so it never gets averaged into your hourly rate. Receipts go in as you spend, tagged to a job, and the year end report gives you totals by category without a weekend of sorting.

Built for a phone in a nacelle

Big targets, high contrast, no popups. There is no connection up tower and there is frequently none on the drive out, so every screen reads from the copy of your work held on the phone and syncs later.

Questions

Can I track certs without using the invoicing?

Yes. Plenty of techs are W2 through a company and only use the cert wallet and the continuity reminders. The free plan covers three certs.

Does it handle overtime rules?

It bills what you tell it to bill. Overtime is its own rate line with its own rate, so a day with ten straight and two over shows exactly that.

Can I send my certs to a safety office?

Yes. The cert packet builds a single PDF listing every cert, its issuer, number and status, which is what most safety offices ask for.

What if my phone dies on site?

The ticket is written to storage as you go, not held in memory, so it is there when the phone comes back on.
