Terms of service

These are the terms between you and Fusion Fab Apps, who runs RigTicket. They are written to be read rather than skimmed past. Using the app means you accept them.

What RigTicket is

A tool for recording field tickets, building invoices, logging expenses and tracking certifications. You enter your work and your rates, and it produces documents from them. It is a record keeping tool and nothing more.

It is not tax, accounting or legal advice. The reports group what you billed into labor, equipment, reimbursement and materials because that is how the numbers are useful to a preparer. How any of it should be treated for tax is between you and your own accountant. The same goes for the certification reminders: they are a convenience, not a compliance guarantee, and staying current on your certifications is your responsibility.

Your account

• You need an account, and you are responsible for what happens under it.
• Keep your password to yourself. Tell us if you think someone else has it.
• One person per account. Crew features are not part of the app yet.
• You must be 18 or older and using it for your own business.

Your data is yours

The tickets, invoices, customers, photos, signatures and certifications you put in belong to you. We claim no ownership of them and we do not sell them. You can export your records to CSV or PDF at any time from the reports screen, and you should, because keeping your own copy of your business records is simply good practice.

We store and process your data only to run the service for you. See the privacy policy for what that involves.

Free and Pro

The free plan covers 3 tickets and 1 invoice each month and 3 certifications, and does not send email. Pro is $9.99 per month or $79 per year and lifts those limits.

• It renews automatically until you cancel, at the price you signed up at, charged to the card you provided.
• Cancel whenever you like from Settings, then Plan and billing. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for, and then drop to the free plan.
• Nothing is deleted when you cancel. Everything you already wrote stays readable and exportable. The free limits apply to new tickets and invoices only.
• Refunds: if the app is not working for you, email within 30 days of a charge and we will refund it. No argument, no form.
• If a price changes, it will not change what you are paying without telling you first.

What you agree not to do

• Break the law with it, or use it to help someone else do that.
• Upload someone else's data that you have no right to hold.
• Try to break into other accounts, or work around the plan limits.
• Resell access or run it as a service for other businesses.

If you do any of that, we can close your account. We will give you your data first unless the law says otherwise.

Signatures collected on site

The app lets you capture a signature from a company man, site lead or customer on your phone. Getting their agreement to sign, and telling them what the signature is for, is your responsibility. You are the one with the relationship to that person; we only store what you record.

Uptime, and what happens when it breaks

The app is built to keep working with no signal, which is most of the reliability that matters in the field. The parts that need a connection, such as emailing an invoice and processing payment, depend on services we do not control.

We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error free. It is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Fusion Fab Apps is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Some places do not allow those limits, in which case they apply as far as they can.

None of that is an excuse for losing your work. It is the reason the app writes to your phone first and syncs later, and the reason you should keep your own exports.

Ending it

You can stop using RigTicket and delete your account at any time. We can end an account that breaks these terms, or discontinue the service, and if we discontinue it you will get reasonable notice and time to export your records.

Changes

If these terms change in a way that matters, the effective date at the top changes and we will say so in the app before it takes effect. Carrying on using it after that means the new terms apply.

The legal bit

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. If any part of this is unenforceable, the rest still stands.
